African Diaspora Caribbean Carnaval
Cousinfolk Productions and The gARTen Network is hosting our First Annual African Diaspora Caribbean Carnaval, taking place on August 22, 2026 from 10 am to 5 pm, at S&S Friendly Ranch in San Diego.
We are excited to introduce this vibrant, family friendly celebration honoring the rich traditions, artistry and heritage of African diaspora cultures. The Carnaval will feature a lively parade, soccer games, a costume contest, cultural food, live music, art, family games, a petting zoo and a diverse marketplace of local vendors.
This event is designed to uplift community pride, promote cultural education and create an inclusive space where families can celebrate the beauty and diversity of the diaspora. With programming that spans music, dance, sport, food and visual arts, the Carnaval offers something meaningful for every generation.
We anticipate a strong turnout from across San Diego County and beyond. As organizers of successful community events, including the Western Jamboree and regional cultural festivals, we have seen how these gatherings strengthen community bonds and support local entrepreneurs, artists and youth.
